Cranleigh Bowling Club formerly known as Cranleigh Royal British Legion Bowling Club was formed in 1933. We currently have 50 members and are associated with Cranleigh Village Sports and Social Club that caters for a wide range of sporting activities including petanque, fishing, diving , darts, snooker as well as lawn bowls. We are affiliated to Bowls Surrey and Bowls England and are considered as one of the premier bowling clubs in the county.

We are a friendly, happy club and yet manage to strike that delicate balance of competitive but social atmosphere and compete in matches ranging from the intensely serious to the more social, friendly games.

Competitively our Men play in the West Surrey Weekend and Midweek Leagues, we also compete with Mixed Teams in Three Counties Bowls Federation League and the Sapphire League. We encourage participation in all County and Club competitions and have had great success at county level. We also play friendly midweek matches with local clubs in our area.

The club facilities are second to none in the area. Our excellent green is often used by Bowls Surrey and Bowls England

Catering and bar service are provided in the main Cranleigh Village Sports and Social Club, immediately adjacent to our green.

We actively encourage new members to the game to join us on or excellent green and extend a warm welcome to young, old seasoned bowlers and beginners to our fold. We can provide first rate qualified coaches to help beginners learn the game and help seasoned bowlers if any part of their game needs improving and give plenty of opportunity to practice and hone your skills.

The beauty of the game of bowls is it ability to cater for all levels of skill and still be a fantastic sociable fun game that is enjoyed all over the country and indeed the world. We take care in ensuring our club combines those elements and are committed in making sure that the sport continues to be enjoyed by the community for many decades to come.
